4Designers. iGrid.

When I need to draw something in draft (algorithm, logotype and so on), I use pencil and ruled paper, but I own Wacom tablet and I'd like to have ruled paper on the screen too, so I have created iGrid - applications that plots rules right over desktop. Now I don't need any plugins for different graphic editors, but I can have any type of orthogonal, axonometric and handwriting grids.

Color, transparency and grid settings are fully customizable.

If you need iGrid functionality for your own application, you can order iPlotter - library with full course codes for .Net (C#) and Delphi: http://greatis.com/utilities/plotter/

4Designers. Screen Beagle Customization.

Screen Beagle contents 4 different utilities (Magnifier, Screenshot, Measurer, Dropper), and each of them can have separated icon in system tray. If all utilities' icons are turned off, the Screen Beagle icon is shown. Left mouse button click on utility icon activates this utility. Right click calls the popup menu that also allows activating utilities and has additional items for calling preferences dialog, for exiting Screen Beagle and so on. All the utilities can be deactivated by Esc key or by Close item from right-click popup menu (Magnifier does not have popup menu and each click deactivates it). Each utility can have separated hot key for activating.

4Designers. Screen Beagle's Dropper.

When we need to get exact color of some pixel on our screen, we copy screen content into clipboard, paste this image into some image editor, and use some tool of this editor to get the pixel color. Long way... Screen Beagle's Dropper do it with easy. Just activate it, move mouse cursor over the screen, and information window will show the color itself, color in RGB, RGB Hex, HSB, CMY, CMYK and in HTML format. Click the target pixel to select the pixel, then click any value in information window to copy this value to clipboard, if you need it. Next click on the screen will release the selection.

Activation: tray icon menu, dropper tray icon (customizable) or dropper hot key (customizable).

4Designers. Screen Beagle's Measurer.

What do you do when you need to know the distance between two points on the screen? Angle of line on the screen? Size of object on screen? I don't know, so I have created Measurer. Activate Measurer, press mouse button over the first point and move mouse cursor to the second point. Information window will show coordinates of first and second points, distance, horizontal and vertical offset between them, angle of line between these two points. Offset and distance are shown in pixels, inches and millimeters. To get correct values in real units you have to calibrate Measurer in Screen Beagle's Preferences dialog. Just use real rule over the screen and change DPI value to match on-screen and real rules. By the way, it's good way to know the real DPI of your screen. Of course, information window also shows 2x zoomed screen image under mouse cursor.

Activation: tray icon menu, measurer tray icon (customizable) or measurer hot key (customizable).

4Designers. Screen Beagle's Screenshot.

Windows has only two options for getting screenshot - copy to clipboard entire screen by PrintScreen key or copy to clipboard snapshot of active window by Alt+PrintScreen. Screen Beagle allows you to copy to clipboard or save to file entire screen as well as selected area of the screen. Just activate Screenshot feature of Screen Beagle and select area by mouse. Note that selected area is editable, so you can change size and position by dragging border and selection. Information window that can be shown over the screen image shows everything you need: selection start and end points, selection size and even 2x zoomed screen image under mouse cursor for most accurate selection.

Activation: tray icon menu, screenshot tray icon (customizable) or screenshot hot key (customizable).

When Screenshot feature is activated, you can copy and save entire screen or selected area from context menu or with hot keys:

Copy screen Ctrl+C
Save screen Ctrl+S
Copy Selection Alt+C
Save Selection Alt+S

4Designers. Screen Beagle's Magnifier.

What would you do if you need to see the details of some object on the screen? Yes, you copy it to clipboard with PrintScreen or Alt + PrintScreen keys, paste image into some image editor and zoom image. Too complex. With Screen Beagle you can activate Magnifier and move the magnified area by mouse to see the zoomed details right over the original screen image.

Activation: tray icon menu, magnifier tray icon (customizable) or magnifier hot key (customizable).

In-action controlling:
Ctrl + left/right mouse button: zoom in/out
Shift + left/right mouse button: magnifier size increase/decrease

Additional option for people with low-vision: high-contract
